About the Course
This course helps participants to gain a foundational understanding of the environmental management system, its significance in an organization, as well as giving the participants an understanding of their roles in management of environmental impacts and fulfilling legal requirements.
This course is necessary for all individuals in an organization, from top management to operational staff at all levels on their roles in maintaining the EMS.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to;
i) Explain ISO 14001 requirements
ii) Understand the application of the EMS requirements
iii) Understand Environmental aspects, impacts and their compliance obligations
iv) Establish environmental objectives and plans to achieve them
v) Determine risks and opportunities
vi) Ensure conformity and compliance to legal and international standards such as ISO 14001
